Boru November 15
It is getting harder and harder to get new bottles of vodka at my local shop. Soon, I will need to start venturing around for new bottles!
So what happened the last time I walked in and asked for a vodka I have not tried? I was offered Boru Vodka. I had not heard of it, I liked the bottle, it was distilled from grain, why not!
I popped open this bottle tonight and was pleasantly surprised with the aroma. If it tasted as good as it smelled, I figured I was in for a treat. While it did not quite go that far, it was still a very nice vodka. Reminded me of Finlandia the most, I think. It has a little more flavor than Grey Goose or Armadale, but was still very smooth. Where it compared to Finlandia was more in the throat feel. It goes down easy, but has a little bite of warmth on the way that hangs on for a little while.
They say on the website that this vodka is named for an Irish king from about 1000 years ago. Sounds like a good story to me! All in all, if someone was to bring this bottle over to my house before we sat down to a game of cards, I would be a pretty happy guy.
Good work Ireland

Hello!
Can you try a bottle of 3 Vodka (http://www.3vodka.com)? I read on an MSNBC news article that it was more smooth than your two favorites (Grey Goose and Armadale) and I would be really interested in your thoughts! I’m on a quest to find the perfect vodka as well!

Hello!
Thanks for this great site!
It’s not easy to find all the vodkas you tried here in France (except Idol and Grey Goose of course), but I will try to follow your advises.
If you find Ruskyi Standart, please, try some, as it has a particular taste and it is one of the best I know.
Santé!
